catalog.
2) Your gallery/business mission statement or description (200 words maximum). If you don't have one, don't panic. Submit your images and application form anyway. If your application is accepted, one of the committee members will help you write your bio. Mail the following: Submit your materials and application form on or before Nov. 23, 2009. TIMELINE November 23:
Deadline for receipt of applications, including 200
word (max) mission/business description, a 300 dpi
high-resolution jpeg, plus any additional jpegs that will appear on the
website, at www.OnAndOffFred.org
Through November: Visits to galleries/alternative spaces of new applicants December 4 : Acceptance notification for new applicants.* * Communication of acceptance and other important information will be via e-mail. If you do not have access to email please include a self-addressed, stamped envelop with your application. December 11: Contracts e-mailed/mailed to all participating artists. *Submission of application guarantees participation for artists/studios/businesses that participated in the 2009 tour, but new applications will go through an acceptance process. All applications will be reviewed by the studio tour review committee. GUIDELINES: GALLERIES/ALTERNATIVE SPACES 1) The Studio Tour is open to any artist living and/or working and to any gallery/alternative space operating as a business in the designated neighborhoods (Los Angeles Heights/Keystone, Beacon Hill, Monticello Park, Jefferson, Woodlawn, or Alta Vista) that has been accepted and met the deadline requirements. Sites outside the neighborhood boundaries will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 2) All work displayed and sold on the tour must be original art. 3) Participating sites must be open during all tour hours: 11 am – 6 pm on Saturday, February 20, and Noon – 5 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2010. 4) Representatives from participating galleries/alternative spaces or other sites are expected to attend the On and Off Fred Autograph Party on Friday, February 19, 2010, 5:30 – 8:30 pm, at Bihl Haus Arts. Please be on hand at 5:00 pm for a group photo. |
